11 Days of Yoga, Wildlife & Adventure
Namibia
7-17 November
Embark on a transformative journey where the serenity of yoga meets the untamed beauty of Namibia’s wilderness.
Join me in the country that I am happy to call HOME. On this trip we will visit all the top locations, staying at beautiful lodges and doing yoga along the way. There is a reason why everyone says that Namibia is a country that feeds your soul and I would love to show you why!
Most mornings, we'll explore activities unique to the region, giving you a deep understanding of the country. You'll visit the famous Deadvlei in Sossusvlei, where you can sleep under the beautiful starry sky of Namib Naukluft Park. We'll have exciting adventures along the Skeleton Coast and journey through my favourite location, the stunning Damaraland, known for her scenic beauty and the Desert adapted Elephants. You'll also have the opportunity to visit the Himba and Damara tribes in their villages, and explore Twyfelfontein, a UNESCO World Heritage site featuring ancient Bushman rock engravings. Then, we'll head to the amazing Etosha National Park for an unforgettable wildlife experience. Etosha is Namibia's top wildlife sanctuary, boasting an impressive array of wildlife, featuring 114 species of mammals and 340 species of birds. From majestic elephants and lions to elusive leopards, cheetah, giraffe, zebra and various antelope. The park offers an exceptional safari adventure, a dream for explorers and a paradise for photographers!
We'll finish our journey at a private game reserve, where you can see more wildlife on guided drives and nature walks. After these exciting adventures, treat yourself to relaxing wellness treatments.
This has been the most popular yoga holiday since I have started in 2016. Let me show you my backyard, a place that will leave you speechless and wanting to come back again and again!

Day 2: Today we head south to the oldest Desert in the World. The drive is about 4 to 5 hours via the Spreetshoogte Pass and the views are not just only WOW from 1800m above sea level, but from here onwards the landscapes are forever changing - your eyes will not believe this and your heart will open up to this natural beauty. Think mountains, high sand dunes and the occasional desert adapted animal. We will stop at Solitaire, a quirky, almost lost little town set in the middle of nowhere. You can perhaps try a slice of the famous Apfelstrudel (Apple Pie) here before we reach our destination. Onwards to our lodge and relax for the rest of the afternoon. Afternoon yoga session before dinner.
Accommodation: Desert Homestead
Day 3: An early morning as the gate to the Park opens at sunrise. As we enter we will stop over at Dune before heading to further to Deadvlei/Sossusvlei. Sossusvlei, undoubtedly Namibia's most iconic landscape, located in the Namib-Naukluft National Park. The Namib Desert is the oldest desert in the world and stretches over 1500km with dunes reaching heights of 300m. If you feel up for it, why not join me to climb Big Daddy, admiring Deadvlei and surrounds from above. There’s something so magical as you sit quietly and take in the energy of this Desert.
After taking some amazing photos at Deadvlei, we will head over to Sossusvlei to have a picnic brunch under one of the shady trees. After visiting Sesriem Canyon we will head to back to our lodge to cool off in the pool, relax and admire the views.
OPTIONAL: About 3 hours before sunset we will saddle up and ride into the sunset. Leaving the stables and lodge behind, you will set off on an unforgettable journey through wide open plains riding over a varied terrain changing from soft, sandy, stretched open fields, to rockier mountain trails, through dry riverbeds, under Sociable Wearers nests and around Camel thorn trees. Your experienced guide will eagerly tell you more about the environment, fauna and flora. You are almost guaranteed to come across a herd or two of grazing Oryx, springbok, or Zebra and some varieties of smaller carnivores, such as Jackal and Bateared foxes. This will be an easy, comfortable ride. Whether you are a beginner or novice, this experience will leave you in aw!
PLEASE NOTE: If you do not want to go on this expedition, the lodge will take you on a scenic drive to our camp. Tonight we are sleeping out in the desert, surrounded my mountains and beautiful skies.
Accommodation: Namib Night Out

Day 4: Early morning yoga before we have breakfast and ride back to the lodge, then onwards to the Skeleton Coast for some fun activities and of coarse the fresh ocean breeze of the Atlantic Ocean.
Swakopmund with its laid back feel, palm trees, great restaurants and german-colonial architecture, has various activities to choose from. Whether you want something active or more relaxed, or even a combination, this coastline will surprise you with what it has to offer.
Here we will be staying at Desert Breeze Lodge, offering peace, tranquility and the ultimate desert experience. The luxury bungalows with their creative atmosphere and the friendly staff will make your stay one to remember. Breakfast will be at Desert Breeze, lunch and dinner at one of Swakopmund's many cafes’s and restaurants. Yoga sessions will be held either in the desert or on the beach, even both at the same time!
